A Queenage Work-in-Progress
Are you a mid-to-later life woman, seeking empowerment, inspiration and motivation? Passionate about creating your legacy of being a catalyst for change? If so, buckle up and enjoy the ride! If you know you want to be the star of your show, own your stage and be the difference you want in your world… you are so welcome here…!
I’m Stephanie Barrows, writer/performer and legacy coach.
Spoiler alert! life is not perfect… there I’ve said it! Life is a rollercoaster of highs and lows, successes and failures. It is a work-in-progress. We are a work-in-progress.
My ideal life is one where I’m learning and growing every day. I am and will be, till my dying breath and beyond, a Work-in-Progress. I believe we all are. If this resonates with you, you are my kind of people. My tribe!
I also believe that we are spirit having a human existence. We are attending this Earth school with a life purpose and to experience physical lessons before we return to the Spirit realms.
I know my life purpose involves creative expression, writing, teaching and healing. Half deaf since birth myself, I’m passionate about being a creative catalyst for a kinder more inclusive world.
Aren’t words wonderful? In the right combination and tone, they empower, inspire and motivate ourselves and others. As wise elder women, we know we don’t always need to slash and burn a pathway through the jungle of life. Often the pen can be mightier than the sword!
I have woven together my lifelong experience, expertise and passions into my Wiselda Project. This is the umbrella for my coaching, writing and performing projects, all aimed at unlocking our Elder Queen energy to create the physical and spiritual reality we wish to leave as our legacy and pass on our crowns.
Decades ago, birds dropped seeds in our garden that have grown into a magnificent elder tree. For many years she’s provided a shady spot for my creative musings. Folklore’s Elder Tree Faerie Queen has inspired my Wiselda Project. She is the Wise Elder (Wiselda), fiercely protective of her environment, facing her fears and being the courageous catalyst for change she was born to be.
My personal passion projects as a catalyst for change focus on promoting Deaf/Hearing collaborations in the arts, enabling wise elder women to share and preserve our knowledge and skills and pass on our crowns to the pioneering young women of the future.
For more than a decade, as a Life Purpose and Legacy Coach, I’ve supported many fabulous women from working alongside as you initially identify your life purpose and passions; then create your big picture; formulate a realistic plan; heal and overcome challenges; through to completing the action steps necessary to achieve your vision – your passion projects and legacy.
Some of these amazing women have set up local and global community support groups. Some have re-used, repaired, recycled and repurposed previously loved items to create art, clothing and useful objects and reduce landfill.
Other creative catalysts for change I’ve supported have written monologues and scripts which have been professionally staged.
A firm believer in “If you can see it, you can be it”, I walk the talk. I’ve been a professional writer for more than thirty years. Articles, poetry, lyrics, greetings cards and more recently a few monologues and plays…
My current play is deliberately a work-in-progress and is designed to be used as a tool for deaf/hearing collaborations in various communities to facilitate creating the physical and spiritual reality we wish to inhabit and leave as our legacy for future generations.
I am so thrilled to be a published author as of 24 April 2024. I am a contributing author for Phoenix Rising: 22 Stories of Triumph, Transformation and Divine Intervention.
Overnight we were No. 1 on 4 Amazon Top 100 Bestseller lists!
I’ve written a few short stories over the years and I’m currently starting on my first novel, a magical realism story which (spoiler!) will have elements of all my passion projects!
